Necessary cookies
Battle Archive stores a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage entries: your session/login state for accounts and the admin area, and your cookie choice itself. These are required for the site to function and are exempt from consent under the ePrivacy rules. They are never used for advertising or profiling.
Analytics (Google Analytics)
If — and only if — you actively consent, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-6MG865M4P5). It collects pseudonymous usage data: pages visited, referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address, device, browser and screen size, plus a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie so repeat visits can be counted. It is used only to see which battles people read. No data is sold, and no advertising or remarketing features are enabled.
Until you consent, no Google script is loaded, no analytics cookie is set, and no dataLayer or gtag object is created in your browser.
Withdrawing your consent
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the link, which is also in the footer of every page. Turning analytics off stops any further collection immediately; reload the page to clear the already-loaded script from the current session, and remove Google's cookies through your browser settings if you wish.
